The Laird Hotel is one of Australia’s oldest gay hotels with a long history of being a community meeting place.  It is the only hotel in Victoria to have been granted "Male Only" status. Open seven nights a week, it is a unique venue that caters for the many tastes of men.  Combining an industrial look with a cruising atmosphere, open fire places and beer garden, the Laird is a great place to be any night of the week.

The Laird is located approximately three kms north east of the city heart and in the centre of the Northside gay district. Our public transport network locally know as the "Met" is easily accessible from the hotel and can deposit you anywhere in the metropolitan area. Guests staying at the Laird also receive free entry into The Peel Dance Bar and Club 80 which are located nearby. Designed from a masculine perspective the hotel offers two types of accommodation: Guesthouse and Apartment.

There are six guestrooms in the hotel. Guestrooms share laundry, bathroom and toilets. Each room is fully equipped with heaters, lamps, art, queen or double size beds and overhead fans. The Laird's theme is "Where Men Meet Men" and the atmosphere is designed to create a friendly environment where you can meet and talk.
