Les Marronniers, Chambres d'hotes in a beautifully restored 1812 Maison de Maitre at La Bruguiere near Uzes, France, offers 4 ensuite bedrooms. Each room decorated differently in French country style. The house is beautifully decorated, has central heating, and is open all year round. Our home, "Les Marronniers", is situated in a small village called La Bruguiere. It is a charming place to walk in and around just enjoying the views and practicing your French with the locals playing Petanque in the shaded square outside the house.The Maison features an enclosed forecourt, shaded by chestnut trees, where we often dine or just sit and relax. On the other side of the house is a large swimming pool set in a lawn surrounded by flowering shrubs and plants. Ample garden furniture provides poolside seating under the old fig tree. Continental breakfast is served by the pool or under the chestnuts in the front court; a gentle way to clear your head while planning the days activities. Maybe you'll want to relax by the pool or take off on a picnic at one of the banks of the many nearby rivers, or perhaps visiting some of the places of historic or cultural interest. If after a long day out you wish for an evening in, we can provide a delicious four course meal for 35 Euros per person (includes wine, aperitif and coffee). Just let us know early in the morning. Offering a haven away from large hotels, we open our doors to only six people, (plus an occasional houseguest or two).
