The historic and fully restored Windsor House of St. Andrews is Atlantic Canada's newest Inn of extraordinary hospitality and distinction. The former 1798 family home of Captain David Mowat and his wife Mehetible, now houses North America's largest collection of prints of Sir Edwin Landseer's works, the cabinetry of Thomas Nisbet and Alexander Lawrence, as well as over 150 works of art dating from 1750 to 1920. An outstanding accommodation experience of casual elegance, in a classic nineteenth century setting, awaits your arrival. Most rooms include a wood burning fire place, as well as Georgian, Empire or Victorian period antiques. Each guest room's well appointed bath is complete with bath robes and antique style fixtures. Recently appointed Chefs intend to provide a memorable dining experience by assuring that daily menu items are centered upon freshly baked and locally grown product. Furthermore, our wine cellar was established to allow guests a superior variety of options to complement their fine dining menu selections. The Inn's two eighteen seat public and private dining rooms are at the heart of much of the new culinary and accommodation developments taking place in the seaside town of St. Andrews.
